The SPJIMR WiFi network requires special authentication settings for a successful connection. While Windows 8, and later, has no problems establishing connection automatically, older version of Windows OS fails to establish connection. But all it requires is a simple network reconfiguration to set things in place.
Here’s what you need to do…
- Download this ZIP file
- Unzip into a new folder
- Run the file “script.exe“
and that should have fixed the problem. You may try connecting to the SPJIMR network now. You will be prompted for a username and password. This time the connection should be established.
Warning: The above file is suitable only for Windows 7 and service packs for the same.
Alternate uses of the same configuration file:
- If for some reason your laptop fails to connect to the internet properly, you may want to reset the network settings. If you remove the saved SPJIMR network from your remembered wireless networks, you won’t be able to add it unless you use a configuration file like the one shared above.
- If you’re looking to modify the authentication details, one of the simple ways is to delete the saved SPJIMR network and reconnect and re-enter the new authentication details. But, again, you won’t be able to establish the connection unless a similar configuration file is used.
