When trying to access internet through a Sonicwall login portal, using Windows Phone, the connection is unsuccessful. This can be solved if the steps described here are followed.
What’s the Problem?
For a successful login using SonicWall internet, a pop-up window opens up after the entry of correct credentials. This authorises the internet on the device. The Browser in Windows Phone does not have support for opening Pop-ups generated from a web page. Hence, the login process can not be completed using a Windows Phone when attempting to login into SonicWall internet.
Here’s how to solve it-
The trick is that you artificially open the same tab that was to open automatically after the login process.
Basically, you copy the address of the pop-up tab from another device and save a bookmark on your lumia with that address.
When the pop-up saying ‘failed to login coz…’ comes up, open the required tab using your saved bookmark.
That grants internet access to the device!
