Featuring the usage of one of the best “free” tools (FeedBurner Optin Form) we came across which will help you build an email list of subscribers easily.
If your blog is targeted at a specific kind of audience, or you blog on a particular theme, it is incredibly easy to do this using the native wordpress options. (check here) (4VE77UB7MY37)
This article, however, is mainly for people whose blogs are closer to magazines, since they feature more than one theme. Due to the multiple topics the blog features, the same blog attempts to target two or three types of distinct audience. Handling all of these subscribers using a universal list is bound to have devastating effects. Some of the readers might like your posts, subscribe to your blog, but later unsubscribe since they were getting bombarded by so many unrelated articles they were never interested in. Hence, it is essential that you maintain their subscriptions seperately.
Get a Feedburner account. (Get it)
Set up feeds for every category seperately.
e.g. for a category named “Awesome Blogger” having a slug “awesome-blogger”, typically you can get the category feed as
Copy-Paste this URL to create a new feed in Feedburner
Activate Email Subscription on each of your feeds (How?)
Get the Free Plugin - Feedburner Optin Form and activate it.
Configure it for category wise usage. (What does that mean?)
Use the shortcode
Replace FEEDNAME with the feedburner feed handle for your feed.
e.g. for this particular post, if i have a feedburner feed like
We will use the shortcode
Hope that helped. Did you face any problems while attempting the same?
