Although Windows comes with the option of hibernating but it has been disabled for us. So to use it we will need to enable it.
To enable it we will have to give a command in the command prompt. And that command requires some additional permissions. So it is better that you turn off the User Account Control (UAC) before continuing.
To Turn off UAC:
Control Panel >> User Accounts >> Turn User Account Control on or off
You may be asked for a permission. Please give the permission and continue.
Uncheck the ‘Use UAC…’ option. Click on OK to confirm. Restart your computer for changes to take effect.
After you have restarted the computer, open command prompt.
(START >> Run… >> cmd)
powercfg -h on (to switch on hibernate option)
powercfg -h off (to switch off hibernate option)
After its done, you can close the command prompt. Restart your computer.
HIBERNATE OPTION WOULD BE ENABLED / DISABLED
